I found this very interesting. Basically, a senator in the state of Washington is sponsoring a bill that would require couples can prove they are able to have children before they get married and further, their marriage will be deemed invalid if they do not have at least one child after three years of marriage.
This bill, of course, will NEVER pass because it's ludicris (especially for people who don't like kids, ew). It's actualy a ploy to show how ridiculous the Supreme Court's decision to uphold gay marriage/union bans because marriage was deemed to be between a man and woman for the purpose of procreation. So, why not try a little bit of reverse psychology? I think it's brilliant, but I'm afraid no one will care, because once a homophobe, always a homophobe.
Anyway, I thought it was an interesting concept, so I thought I'd post and x-post it.
Here's an article from Q-Seattle
