In case you've been under a rock and didn't see the news reports about this story, here's the online version. I read this with the expectation of "yet another ex-gay horror story," but this young woman's story rang a bell within me. I went through some of what she describes regarding her religious beliefs, and even though my story is nowhere near as excruciating as hers, I find ironic comfort knowing that my pain was not unique, and that others like me are able to find their way and get past the awfulness and hate-mongering of the "ex-gay" movement.

It's a good read indeed.
